Evolution or Creation?

Petrified Logs

Petrified logs are an enigma for evolutionary scientists. These logs point to a rapid, catastrophic event, such as a massive worldwide flood, rather than a slow burial. These trees all have their branches stripped off and yet their bark is intact. This would indicate a very different method of deposition than we currently find in forests and it speaks of an event of enormous power. Creation scientists believe this provides more evidence for Noah’s Flood[34]

In central Washington, near the Columbia River, is Ginko Petrified Forest. How did this whole forest come to be petrified? Why didn't the trees just decay away like they do today? Again, a megacatastrophe is the best explanation. The same goes for any petrified forest, and there are many of them all over the world. Interestingly, the logs in a Mississippi petrified "forest" did not originate there. They are from fir, sequoia, maple, and birch trees. They came as driftwood trees carried by water, apparently from the northern part of our country. They are three to seven feet in diameter, but were stripped of their branches and bark. So what mighty force uprooted giant trees and transported them some 1000 miles? How about a catastrophic flood?[18]
