Evolution or Creation ?

Darwinism Is Strongly Rooted But Is Being Challenged

Evolution which seeks to replace God with blind, impersonal naturalism stands on shaky ground. Darwinists cling to its beliefs despite a growing body of scientific evidence that keeps unraveling their core beliefs.

Mathematician M. P. Schutzenberger stated in 1967, "…We believe that there is a considerable gap in the Neo-Darwinian theory of evolution, and we believe this gap to be of such nature that it cannot be bridged within the conception of Biology."[85]

Sir Cecil Wakeley, KBE, CB, LLD, MCD, Doctor of Science, FRCS and past president of the Royal College of Surgeons of Great Britain, admitted: "There is no evidence, scientific or otherwise, to support the theory of evolution."[85]

Evolutionist Dr. Paul Lemoine stated in an article, "Evolution is a sort of dogma in which the priests no longer believe, but they maintain for their people."[85]

A recent poll suggests that 65 percent of adults think there is insufficient evidence to support evolution.[73]

Skeptics of the Bible have used Cain’s wife time and again to try to discredit the book of Genesis as a true historical record.

"The miracles required to make evolution feasible are far greater in number and far harder to believe than the miracle of creation. " - Dr. Richard Bliss, former professor of biology and science education at Christian Heritage College[40]

On all fronts, scientists are being forced to face up to the evidence for an intelligent cause. Ever since the big bang theory was proposed, cosmologists have had to wrestle with the implications that the universe had an absolute beginning - and therefore a transcendent creator. The discovery of the information content in DNA is forcing biologists to recognize an intelligent cause for the origin of life. Also the fact of irreducible complexity is raising the question of design in living things.[15]

Over 600 scientists from around the world have signed the following statement, first published in 2001: "We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged." The list is growing and includes scientists from the US National Academy of Sciences, Russian, Hungarian and Czech National Academies, as well as from universities such as Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and others.[81]

Science cannot tell us everything we might wish to know about this intelligent cause — the details of God's character, and His plan of salvation. These are tasks for theology. But studies of the design and purpose in nature clearly supports the existence of a transcendent creator - so clearly that, as St. Paul writes in the New Testament, we stand before him without excuse ( Romans 1:20).[15]

The Darwinists' struggle to exempt evolution from critical scrutiny is making it clear that their views are based, not on science, but on shaky assumptions. And there are encouraging signs that the public is catching on. It may not be long before Evolution's hold on the American education system loses its grip.[79]
